his promotion to be the new
Director of the
Office of Welfare
Promotion, Protection and
Empowerment of Vulnerable
Groups (OPP). His new
position will be effected
from 1 October 2010. He used
to be the Deputy Director of
OPP and Inspector-General to
the Ministry of Social
Development and Human
Securities before his
promotion to this new
position.
OPP is the main government
agency in charge for the
Ship for Southeast Asian
Youth Program in Thailand. |

The Ambassador of Japan to Thailand, H.E. Mr. Kyoji Kamachi, hosted a reception
to present an award to Mr. Chai Nimakorn,
President of Association of the Ship for
Southeast Asian Youth of Thailand (ASSEAY
Thailand), in recognition of the
Association’s admirable contribution
over the past 37 years to supporting and
contributing to the success of the Ship for
Southeast Asian Youth Program (SSEAYP) and
for its dedicated approach to proactively
organizing, financing, supporting and
participating in a wide variety of
humanitarian assistance projects that have
brought both joy and fulfillment, as well as
recognition to many of the marginalized
sectors of modern society. The reception was
held at the Ambassador's resident, BKK. Many
ASSEAY key persons attended the event. -

Ex-Pys are honorably selected to be the
SSEAYP 2010 Facilitator of Discussion.
They are
Mr.
Nattavee Mavichak [Cross-cultural
Understanding Promotion] and
Mr. Theeraseth
Patvarapong [Food
Culture /Food and Nutrition Education].
They will be on board the Fuji Maru with
all SSEAYP 2010 PYs and lead the
discussion in their in charge topics. |

SIGA 2010
Ayutthaya :
----------------------------------
SSEAYP International
General Assembly (SIGA) 2010 Thailand was
organized in Ayutthaya province , Thailand
during 30 April-3 May 2010 and finished
successfully. There were more than 400 SSEAYP
Ex-Pys and concerned person from SSEAYP
countries participated. Including many
interesting and fun session and activities,
Dr.Surin Pitsuwan - ASEAN Secretary General-
visited the SIGA 2010 and had a memorable
meeting with all Chief of delegates from every
SSEAYP countries. In our grand and memorable
closing ceremony, ASSEAY Thailand handed over
the SIGA to the next host, SSEAYP International
Singapore, which will organize in 2011.
